Nelly has denied rumors that he and Ashanti broke up over money. As previously reported, rumor had it that Nelly borrowed $500,000 from Ashanti and they broke up after he never paid her back. In a Baltimore radio interview, the rapper said, "It could be my mama, if she owed me half a million dollars, she better recognize..." He added, "There's things and rumors about every artist at some point... and if they're not talking about you then you're not worth talking about."

He still remained coy about his relationship with Ashanti -- who he has been with for almost 10 years. When asked about their relationship, he said, "We're pretty cool."

Nelly also denied being hooked up drugs.
